5 Tips for Offline Marketing Success

Did you know print marketing has a 120% ROI?

Although you may specialize in digital media, crossing over to offline marketing will still bring extra traffic to your site.

We’ve done the research for you and narrowed down 5 of the best options for offline marketing success.

#1 – Interviews

Journalists from online magazines and elsewhere will be looking for stories that sell. If you’ve got a product or service that has demand, you can pitch an interview to them about your company.

Once the interview is posted, they can connect it to every outlet or niche in which your product or service is useful. Your brand and your URL will be available for all viewers.

Always stay open to and available for potential interviews. Radio and TV shows are also looking for the next big trend. It could be you and your company.

#2 – Offline Advertising

An often overlooked method of advertising is in the printed media space. Find a magazine that pairs well with your product or service and your company name and URL will be printed thousands of times over.

Commercials can also work depending on what you’re selling. The downside is that they tend to be much more expensive. Save this for later when you’ve become a success.

Radio commercials work in the same way as television commercials. The space can be expensive, but it will drive great amounts of traffic to your site.

#3 – Guest Columnist or Guest Poster

Newspapers still get attention. You can contact your local newspaper and ask about being a guest columnist. Focus on your niche and other relevant topics to your business.

If you become a regular, you can start responding directly to consumer questions. Over time, you’ll develop a rapport with potential customers, inclining them to check out your website.

Whether you’re a guest columnist or a guest poster on another blog, always make sure you include your web address. It will introduce new readers and provide your business with free advertising – a solid choice for offline marketing.

#4 – Attend Meetups and Conventions for Bloggers

Networking and offline marketing go hand-in-hand. This is a great way to connect with other bloggers and build a supportive community around your brand.

Don’t treat meetups as pure self-promotion. People pick up on lame tactics fast and will refuse to connect or network with you – devaluing your company name.

Go with the intent of learning something new and genuinely network with others.

Some events invite readers as well. This is your opportunity to talk directly with them and answer questions. Use it for research as well; survey people about blog topics they may want to see.

If you do network and make a successful connection, always remember to follow up later. It can lead to cross-promotion or, as explained above, guest post opportunities.

#5 – T-Shirt Marketing

Depending on the type of brand you own, this could be gimmicky. Pair it with the proper good or service and it becomes advertising that’s not only free, but you get paid for it.

Check out your local custom clothing shop for pricing. If you don’t have one, there are online shops like Zazzle.

You can even wear the shirt yourself; free advertising during a morning jog can only help.

If you find that this idea works for you, expand to hoodies and caps.

Have you tried one of the above options? Or do you have more success with other methods?
